Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as whether you're logged in. Some cookies are essential for a site to work at all.
What we use
Funerl uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services that place third-party cookies on your device.
Our cookies
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you logged in. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider. | Session / 1 week | Strictly necessary |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Fraud prevention during payment checkout. Set by Stripe. | Session / 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| funerl_cookie_consent | Remembers that you dismissed this banner (stored in localStorage, not a cookie). | Persistent | Functional |
Why no consent popup?
Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require user consent — they are required for the service to function. Because Funerl uses only this category of cookie, we don't need a consent gate. We still surface this notice so you know exactly what's being stored.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that blocking session cookies will log you out and prevent you from booking or accessing your account. For instructions, search "manage cookies" in your browser's help documentation.
Third-party services
Supabase — our database and authentication provider. View their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies apply during checkout. View them at stripe.com/privacy.
Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes here with an updated date. If we ever add non-essential cookies we will implement a proper consent mechanism before doing so.
